What's to expect

▲ Amanohashidate in Miyazu Bay of the Sea of Japan, together with Matsushima in Mutsu and Miyajima in Aki, is known as one of "Japan's three scenic views". Stretching approx. 3.6 km in total, it is a sandbar formed by coastal deposition into a spit landform, covered with approx. 8,000 pine trees of varying sizes. With white sand beaches on both the east and west sides, it is a unique natural view. Its shape resembles a bridge stretching diagonally toward the sky, hence the name "Amanohashidate". Located at the confluence of Aso Sea and Miyazu Bay of the Sea of Japan, it offers not only pristine natural scenery but also expansive ocean views of the islands.

▲ On Mount Monju, there is an observation deck where you can view Amanohashidate. The mountain has a cable car and amusement facilities suitable for all ages. From here, Amanohashidate resembles a dragon soaring into the sky, hence it is called the "flying dragon view," offering a majestic panorama of Amanohashidate.

▲ Chion-ji Monju-do enshrines Kechi Monju, the bodhisattva of wisdom who ensures academic success, similar to the Chinese deity Wenchang. What makes this place unique is its fan-shaped fortune slips. When hung upside down, the fan's shape widens from narrow to broad, symbolizing gradual improvement. Nearby, the rotating bridge connects Amanohashidate with the land of Monju-do. When large ships need to pass, the bridge rotates 90 degrees (at irregular intervals) to allow passage.

▲ Ine features Japan's unique funaya houses on water, offering pristine scenery unmatched by typical tourist spots. The funaya houses stretch approx. 5 km along the southern coast of Ine Bay, with over 230 units still coexisting with the sea today. The locals rely on the sea for their livelihood, living in harmony with nature. The azure sea, deep green mountains, ever-changing sky colors, and the traditional Japanese-style funaya architecture create a vibrant palette of pure natural hues unique to Ine. This coastal fishing village, far from the hustle and bustle, exudes rustic authenticity.

▲ In Egan, you can choose between a boat tour or riding experience: You can experience the cruise to tour Ine Bay and also feed the seagulls. Enjoy the view of the boat houses from the deck on the 2nd floor and cherish special moments with your family (each person receives a complimentary pack of shrimp crackers for feeding seagulls). Note: Due to the large number of eagles in the Iganya boat house area, please be cautious when taking the sightseeing boat. If you spot any eagles, immediately stop feeding the seagulls and put away the feed in your hands to avoid being pecked by the eagles.

▲ Cycling tour. Igen offers free bicycles for guests to explore the village at their convenience. You can pick up or return a bike at any rental point. Riding a bicycle through the empty alleys feels absolutely wonderful. (Free of charge, with 5 parking spots available throughout the village for easy access, super convenient.)
