Amanohashidate Kasamatsu Park (also known as “Shoryu-kan”) sits about 130 m above sea level, offering sweeping views of the approx. 3.3 km-long Amanohashidate sandbar covered with 8,000 pine trees—an open panorama like a dragon rising to the sky.

Ine lies on the Tango Peninsula in northern Kyoto, a quiet and unpretentious seaside fishing village famed for its traditional “funaya” boathouses. Built right along the water, the ground floor serves as a boat garage while the upper floor is living space—showcasing a way of life in harmony with the sea. Stroll the lanes between the funaya to feel the warmth of village life and nature, and sink into the slow coastal rhythm.

Take an Ine Bay cruise and tour Ine Bay together with the seagulls. During the cruise, you can also enjoy feeding the seagulls.

At Amanohashidate Kasamatsu Park, the “Ring of Wisdom (Chie no Wa).” It’s said that if you toss a small clay tile (kawarake-nage) through the ring, you’ll gain good fortune, ward off bad luck, and have your wishes come true.
